For over 25 years, he was a producer/director/writer with BBC Television, where he made a wide range of science documentaries - on subjects as diverse as laser technology, Martian geology, plant physiology and Caribbean Island ecology, plus ground-breaking investigations into factory farming, autistic savants and near-death experiences.
His major corpus for television has been in medicine, with pioneering broadcasts on mind/body and nutrition/cognition research, food allergies and holistic health.
After leaving the BBC, he turned to print journalism, specializing in medicine for a variety of publications.
He is the recipient of the “Medicine in the Media” Gold Award, the British Medical Association’s highest journalistic accolade.
